ABOUT

Nathan Allen

Nathan Allen is a contemporary jazz saxophonist from Ontario, Canada. His musical taste is a combination of soulfully sweet R&B and window-rattling Hip Hop. Nathan takes influence from many smooth and versatile saxophonists like Grover Washington, Jr., Kirk Whalum, and Michael Lington to name a few.

He has studied under Kelly Jefferson and Lorne Lofsky at York University in Toronto, Canada. He has also received training from Eric Marienthal, Bob Reynolds, and Walter Beasley. Nathan began exploring the world of musical performance when he was just old enough to walk. His father taught him how to read and perform music first on the piano and then on the guitar. Later at the age of 11, Nathan had the opportunity to pick up the saxophone as his primary instrument.

Nathan is now widely known as a recording artist and enjoys producing music for a global audience of saxophone fans. His YouTube channels feature smooth music and vlogs about playing the saxophone. Nathan’s renditions of current hits and timeless classics have placed him among the most popular saxophone players online.
